Convenience and Protection

Until now, waterfront homeowners who owned larger boats had to keep their boars in the local marina. This was due primarily to the lack of other viable alternatives. This meant that these boat owners were faced with the trade-offs between the convenience of having their boat at their door-step, and the protection of a marina slip.

For the first time, you may now have the alternative to leaving your boat at the marina and paying marina dockage fees! Marina Hydra Lift is now able to offer a viable alternative to larger boat owners, specifically designed to provide both door-step convenience as well as the needed level of protection you demand... without escalating and ongoing marina slip rental charge. You can accomplish this by installing a Marine Hydra Lift boat lift on your property for door-step convenience. Protection for your boat is assured by an innovative design which provides for a lift height of approximately 6 feet (depending on model), providing exceptional clearance for waves and wakes. Protection is also gained through the use of high strength materials and superior manufacturing techniques.

Flexible

Since many boat owners will, over time, own boats of different length, beam and weight, most boat owners demand boatlifts that are able to accommodate a variety of boat sizes. Marine Hydra Lift builds a family of boat lifts which are rated by maximum weight capacity, not by length or beam. Maximum weight capacities range from 5,000 lbs. up to 40,000 lbs., providing sufficient capacity to lift up to a 50-foot boat! Each lift has the flexibility to accommodate all length, beam, and hull configurations within its maximum rated weight capacity. This is accomplished through the elimination of above-water frames which limit length and beam capacities, as well as the use of self-adjusting cradles to accommodate different hull configurations.

Adjustable for Water Depth

Water levels have been fluctuating greatly in recent years. Even during this past year the water level has decreased significantly, creating new navigational hazards to boaters. Currently, water levels are so low that many permanent boatlift installations, and many marinas, have become unpredictable sources of protection. To assure reliable protection for their boats, many boat owners have requested boat protection which is less affected by low water levels and which can also be easily adjusted for fluctuating water levels.

Marine Hydra Lift has designed several features into their family of boatlifts which effectively deal with current water level conditions. Adjustment holes in the support legs of all Marine Hydra Lift boatlifts provide for easy adjustment to accommodate fluctuating water levels. These lifts have been designed so that they only require 18 inches of water depth plus your boat's draft to operate, enabling you to use your lift even in low water conditions. Since Marine Hydra Lift boatlifts are easily moved, another alternative to deal with low water conditions is to relocate your lift to deeper water.

Safe

The elimination of wheels, gears, cables and pulleys in the design of all Marine Hydra Lift boat lifts greatly reduces the risk of injury to you, your family, and your guests. The control switch used to activate the boat lift can be locked away and power interrupted from a switch in your home, preventing unauthorized use. Even the switch is designed so that the lift can only be activated by applying constant pressure on the switch (this prevents unsupervised raising or lowering of the lift). Power can be provided by 110 or 220 volt AC with a ground fault interrupt to prevent accidental shock. Twelve volt DC power is also available in situations where an extra margin of safety is demanded or where 110 or 220 volt AC is not available or practical (such as when the lift must be installed where the distance from shore is great or highly variable due to fluctuating water level conditions).

Attractive

One of the most valuable assets of waterfront home ownership is the waterfront view. Traditionally, boatlifts have not been designed to be attractive but merely functional. Homeowners who desired to have their boat on their property had to compromise their waterfront view. Marine Hydra Lift boat lifts have been designed to be both attractive and functional. The objective of the design was to make the boatlift an unobtrusive as possible, so as not to interfere with your waterfront view. This objective led to the design of a boat lift which does not require an above-water frame. In fact, when the lift is in the lowered position, the entire lift is under water! The lift is so unobtrusive that some of our customers have commented that their boat often appears to be floating above the water.
